Beatmaker, turntablist depuis 1998 (et titré DMC, IDA, TKO), moitié du duo bass music Broken Drop, l'envie de développer un projet plus personnel s’est installée chez Jean du Voyage au fil de ses pérégrinations musicales nomades et de belles rencontres.

Collectionneur boulimique de vinyles, passionné sans frontière par les musiques, ses premières influences sont afro-américaines (Soul, Funk, Reggae, Hip Hop, Blues, Jazz). Sa curiosité insatiable va lui faire explorer des sonorités plus traditionnelles (Maloya, Gnawa, Râga, Flamenco...) avant de découvrir les basses massives et les breaks puissants de l’électronique (Abstract, Dubstep, Grime, Breakbeat).

Nourrie à la sono mondiale, sa musique prend alors la forme d’un trésor généreux amassé lors de ces voyages.

Travelling DJ and Beatmaker, Jean du Voyage invites you to discover spicy sound explorations.
Still looking for novelty he likes to mix and to realize eclectic’s projects made by meetings. He is inspired by traditional music’s as well as actual music, appreciating ethnic sounds and syncopated rhythms.

In 1998 he bought his first turntable and began in 2000 the production. After years of intensive training he participated in various national and international championships (TKO Coupe de France, DMC in London and Krakow IDA). Then, he founded the duo Broken Drop with Kraps, an orientated Bass Music, turntable and Live Machine project.

Over the years he felt the desire to develop his own personal project. The opportunity to meet wonderful artists will allow Jean du Voyage to explore other worlds and to release his first album. Nowadays Jean du Voyage goes along with Djéla (song), Pierre Harmegnies (multi-instrumentalist), Kraps (Beatmaker & DJ), L.O.S (Human Beatbox).

Today Jean du Voyage looks for new lands and offers live compositions entirely made by timetable and machinery.
